As an Associate Attorney at Flood Family Law, LLC, Elias “Eli” Daehler Gering brings a thoughtful, client-centered approach to family law. He guides clients through divorce, custody, paternity, child support, and adoption matters, drawing on a diverse legal background that spans immigration advocacy, housing litigation, and courtroom representation. Having navigated individuals and families through high-stakes, deeply personal legal issues, Eli has a proven ability to communicate clearly, build lasting trust, and shepherd clients through complex life transitions with genuine care and precision.

In addition to his work as a litigator, Attorney Gering is a registered Guardian ad Litem and mediator, experience that informs his balanced, practical approach to resolving family disputes and advocating for the best interests of children.

Eli earned his bachelor’s degree at DePauw University, graduating magna cum laude. While attending DePauw, Eli was awarded the Faculty Distinguished Scholar Award and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Academic Honor Society, the Mortar Board National College Honor Society, the Lambda Alpha National Collegiate Honors Society for Anthropology, and the Sigma Delta Pi National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society. He was awarded a Fullbright Scholarship for Teaching at the Universidade Federal de Bahia in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. Elias earned his J.D. from Indiana University’s Robert H. McKinney School of Law. He speaks multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and French, bringing his multilingual skill set to serving diverse families with clarity and compassion.

Eli is admitted to all Indiana Courts, as well as the Northern and Southern District Courts of Indiana.
